Temienor Oghenekevwe Wins Ughelli South Leaders Endorsement For House of Assembly 2023

A few days Ahead of the March 11, 2023 governorship and House of Assembly election in Delta State, Otokutu Community Leaders and Youths have Endorsed the candidate of the Social Democratic Party SDP, Comrade Temienor  Oghenekevwe as their preferred House of Assembly Candidate, urging young and old to support him.
They Endorsed him on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 at Otokutu community town hall, Otokutu, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta, where the leaders passed a vote of confidence on him over what they termed as the right man for the Job, adding that, Temienor have the clout to attract Development to Ughelli South.

The President General of Otokutu, Chief Peter Omavuaye Police and his entire executives accorded him a rousing reception at the Community town hall when he moved his campaign train to the community to finalise his unit-to-unit engagement with electorates.

Earlier, representatives of the community assured that they will work for the success of Temienor Oghenekevwe noting that he is a well-known young and courageous man whose political ambition was worth supporting.
The spokesman of Otokutu, Sunday Sukuru commended him for taking a bold step in the interest of the constituents. Also available at the reception includes the Auditor of the community Comrade Peace Rhuada, Pro of the community Chief Isaac Ojigho Secretary-General Chief Kevwe Ogorode.

Temienor Oghenekevwe also enjoyed similar endorsement and support from the people of the Ekrokpe community, Egbo and Agbaghare as he expressed joy and appreciation to all who came out in their hundreds to pledge their support at the polls.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention. Speaking on behalf of the protesters, Chairman of the retirees, Christopher Effiong said many of their members have developed terminal illnesses and heart attacks as a result of the frustration associated with the scheme. In a letter dated May 21 and addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the retirees said many of their colleagues have lost their lives due to the prevai
