By Sunday Apah

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta state on Political Matters, Hon. Saturday Mofoye, has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party and electorates in Udu Local Government Area Ward 9, Orhuwhorun to vote for the Governorship candidate of the party, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the Delta State House of Assembly candidate, Chief Jite Brown in the forthcoming March 18 Election.

Mofoye who made this known during a strategic meeting of leaders and party members of the ward held at his country home in Orhuwhorun, Delta State, said the meeting was to x-ray areas they performed poorly in the last February 25th election and see how they can improve and win the the forthcoming March 18 election.

He noted that the PDP performed badly in the last election in Ward 9 because certain things were done wrongly by those entrusted with logistics for the election but assured the people that those issues will be addressed in order to achieve positive result in the March 18 election.

According to him, "we must do everything humanely possible to ensure that we deliver our Governorship and House of Assembly candidates. We can't afford to loose any of the 55 units in the ward.

"So, I use this opportunity to call on political leaders in Udu to treat Orhuwhorun as the ward with highest numbers of registered voters and units in terms of logistics. As it's the only way opposition parties can be adequately curtailed in the ward.

Other leaders, Chief Sam Ughujowhovwo, former chairman of the PDP in Udu LGA; Rt. Hon. Ejiro Kayan, former leader of Udu Legislative Arm and Mr. Efete Okolosi, Chairman of PDP in ward who spoke in same vein, commended Chief Saturday Mofoye for the meeting, as it gave leaders and members of the party opportunity to share their views and plan for the governorship and state House of Assembly elections.

They reiterated their resolve to continue to canvass more votes for the PDP in order to deliver the Governorship and State House of Assembly candidates in the ward on March 18.
