How Gbagi's presence in 2023 Delta Governorship race Promotes Scrutiny of Others

The Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi's presence in the Delta State 2023 Governorship race has put other contestants on their toes, trying to reconcile what they have earned from public service and in their private lives.

Recall that Chief Gbagi has been calling on Deltans to search all the candidates and vote the one that has character and integrity.

Vanguard however, reported that; "To a large extent, Gbagi’s presence in the race has promoted greater scrutiny of the moral character and antecedents of those seeking the governorship office.

"His disposition towards probity, transparency and frugality in resource management added to his unblemished record in public service provides a counterpoise to the alleged corrupt background and unexplained wealth allegedly associated with some of the top contestants.

"Gbagi, who sees himself as the biggest investor in Delta and said the era of the experiment was gone, Delta must be run by a wealth creator and someone with the experience and capacity to turn the fortunes of the state around".

There is no doubt that Deltans need a trustworthy and reliable character with the resume to match the performance of Chief James Ibori and Felix Ibru who were past Governors of Delta State.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has suspended its two-week warning strike it declared last week across all public universities in the country. Woman Burned to Death, Accused of Kidnapping 7yrs Old Boy in Delta
