2023: Gbagi's detractors are Looters, enemies of Delta State, says group

A notable socio-political organisation, Urhobo Progressive Agenda, UPA has described those who orchestrated the politically motivated Judgement of Delta State High Court against Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi as Looters and enemies of the state.

In a statement by the National President, Comrade Onoriode Umukoro, on Friday in Ughelli urged Deltans to reject the shenanigans of those who have defrauded and looted Delta State.

"They are afraid that Gbagi will end the business of looting, corruption and lawlessness. Detractors of Gbagi are not just enemies of Deltans, they are agents of darkness that should be stopped"

"Deltans will support Gbagi to end sufferings inflicted on them by those agents of darkness who are currently looting the state. Gbagi will make them vomit all that they have stolen"

"Governor Okowa's administration is a total mess, projects review has become an avenue to loot the state. Deltans should not be terrified, Politically motivated Judgment against Gbagi shows that those Looters are on a mission to steal and destroy. Come 2023, Kenneth Gbagi will stop them"

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
