Commence Nationwide Door to Door COVID-19 Test Now Sheriff Mulade Tells FG

Worried over rapid increase of confirmed Corona virus cases in the country Nigeria, an Ijaw leader, Chief Mulade Sheriff has charged the Federal Government to conduct a nationwide door-to-door COVID-19 test on every Nigerian.

Mulade who made call in Delta State, durring the week noted that a door-to- door test will help to ascertain the actual number of COVID-19 cases in the country so as to commence treatment immediately.

He streased that if the Federal Government and the Ministry of Health could execute a nationwide door-to-door vaccination for children to prevent them from polio and other diseases, a door-to-door COVID-19 test for all Nigerians should not be a problem.

He also express confidence that the government have the capacity and resources to achieve satisfactory result of saving Nigerian from unnecessary death if they act fast.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
