ITSEKIRI UNITES FOR JE.MANAGER, SAYS UDUAGHAN CANNOT WIN SENATORIAL SEAT

As the Delta South Peoples Democratic Party senatorial candidate, Senator James Manager participate in the ward to ward PDP campaign, across the senatorial district, rumours that Itsekiri's in GRA ward will not vote for Manager has been laid to rest as Itsekiri's finally unites for Manager. This was disclosed to FocalPoint Reports in Warri by the councillor representing GRA Ward, Warri South Local Government area, Hon. Amiwe Pinnick, During a ward to ward campaign recently organized in Warri.

The Councillor emphatically Said, "The All Progressive Congress candidate will never and can never defeat James Manager in any of the units in GRA Ward, for the Federal House of representative, House of Assembly, Governor to the presidency it is 100 percent PDP".

The counselor assured  Senator James Manager of the Itsekiri' votes and support, adding that Itsekiri's in PDP specifically the GRA Ward have decided that it is PDP all the way. He reiterated that Manager have represented the Delta South senatorial district satisfactorily, adding that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP knows that James Manager is an experienced law Marker, the best within the PDP family hence he was able to sail through the party's  primary elections victoriously.

He further added that, It is the party's Decision that James Manager is returned, every member must respect that beside all sentients, Manager is nice hence the entire Delta South including the Itsekiri's, people from the Ward were beneficiaries of the empowerment he once did, and the GRA ward was not left out.

The councilor lampooned  the APC candidate Dr. Emanuel Uduaghan for poor developmental impacts on the Itsekiri's while he was the governor of Delta State for 8 years. He said "Uduaghan could not make impact during his tenure as a governor yet he want to go to the senate, he lack the capacity to make laws for the interest of Delta South senatorial district".

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
