Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has congratulated the new Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, on his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan.

Speaking via his 𝕏 account, Atiku stated that the monarch would create an impact during his reign.

He expressed the belief that the wealth of knowledge from Ladoja’s time as a businessman, politician, and seasoned administrator would be beneficial to his administration.

He noted that the people of Ibadan are lucky to have a man with a diverse worldview like Ladoja.

Atiku wrote, “I congratulate my brother and compatriot, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja Arusa I on his installation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan.

“I am confident that Oba Ladoja would bring his wealth of experience as a businessman, politician, and seasoned administrator into his new role as the Olubadan.

“I have no doubt that just like his tenure as governor created the template for the development of modern Oyo State, Oba Ladoja will create an impact as Olubadan that every son and daughter of Ibadan, and friends of the ancient city like me, would be proud of.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has suspended its two-week warning strike it declared last week across all public universities in the country. The union announced the suspension on Wednesday at a press conference held at its headquarters in Abuja.
