GROUP JOINS MULADE SHERIFF TO APPEAL FOR UPGRADE OF MORE SCHOOLS IN DELTA STATE...

..Says Chief Mulade Has Done Far Better Than Some Deltans in Government*

The President of Delta Development Initiative, DDI, Comrade Vincent Eniyekenimi says Chief Sheriff Mulade is a man of good character and a notable philanthropist who has, in the past two decades, committed himself to the struggle of building an egalitarian society for Nigerians.

Comrade Eniyekenimi stated this while reacting to a hake news report titled "Upgrade of More Schools in Delta: Activist Mulade Got it Wrong," published online by EAC to the Governor, Barrister Latimore Oghenesuvbe. He said Sheriff Mulade had sponsored and sustained school quiz and essay competitions in parts of Delta State, giving prizes and scholarships worth hundreds of millions of Naira to the youths who participated in the education competitions.

The DDI President said the Delta State Sports Commission endorsesd the Sheriff Mulade Ijaw/Itsekiri Peace and Unity Cup 2019, giving Mulade a bold recognition in the area of sports promotion for peaceful coexistence among Deltans, and wondered why Latimore should write and publish such hate/fake news to tarnish the image of an Ijaw traditional high Chief, Comrade Mulade, in the social media.

He described Barr. Fred Oghenesibve Latimor as a very presumptuous,
clownish, gossippy and unstable personality, as well as an uncoordinated self imposed mouthpiece of the Delta State Govt, and therefore should not be taken seriously in matters of development.

Chief Eniyekenimi said Fred Latimor reportedly came from a jungle where civility is not practiced, and as such, Latimore is concerned only about how to make money from the Govt through the publication of fake and hate news on WhatsApp groups. Chief Eniyekenimi said it was distasteful that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa was still keeping such an unstable character like Dr. Fred Latimore as one of his Aides.

The DDI President emphasized that the appeal made by Chief Comrade Mulade Sheriff on the need for Governor Okowa to upgrade more schools to the university status, was the desire of coastal communities of the State, particularly the Ijaw nation which has no single State University.

He, therefore, joined his voice with Mulade to ask Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to consider the Ijaw people on the schools upgrade, in order to give them a sense of belonging in Delta State.
