Focus on Unity, Infrastructural, Human Capital Development Sheriff Mulade Urges, Congratulates  Diri, Ewhrudjakpor  as Governor, Deputy  Bayelsa State

The National Coordinator, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice,  CEPEJ, Comrade Sheriff Muladehas congratulated His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy His Excellency, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor for their successful Swearing in as Governor and Deputy of one of the Niger Delta finest oil and gas producing States. 

The National Coordinator of the foremost Niger Delta based Non Governmental Organisation, the CEPEJ  Sheriff  Mulade ssued the statement in Abuja congratulated and charged them to focus on unity, infrastructural and human capital development of the state

According  to him;  " It is worthy of note that Bayelsa is in dire need of development, therefore the new Governor should adopt a pragmatic approach to create a conducive environment for all residents and attract investors into the state to Speed up development in the oil-rich state".

Meanwhile, Comrade Mulade Sheriff re-emphasize and call on Governor Douye Diri to strongly focus on building a sustainable SECURITY that will protect lives and properties of Bayelsians and investors as a priority to enable his administration attract the desired development to the State.

NMU Governing Council chairman seeks solutions to challenges facing varsity The Acting Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State,  Adewale Adeogun, has appealed for immediate action to address the pressing challenges facing the institution.   Adeogun, who spoke during the council meeting  in Warri, expressed deep concern over the university’s underdevelopment despite its six-year existence. Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention.
