NGO Set to Collaborate With F.G to Improve Security, Presidency Host CEPEJ

A Nigerian Non-Governmental Organization, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ has expressed readiness to support and partner with the Nigerian Government as the NGO expands advocacy programs towards addressing security challenges in the country.

This National Coordinator of CEPEJ, Comrade Sheriff Mulade reaffirmed the NGO's position and desire to support the Federal Government during a courtesy visit to the Presidency on Thursday at the country's federal capital, Abuja Nigeria.

The presidency received CEPEJ delegations at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock Abuja and commended them for piloting CEPEJ activities towards sustained advocacy efforts for Unity and peaceful coexistence among Africans particularly Nigerians.

The S.A to the President on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina played host to CEPEJ team as the presentation of CEPEJ 2020 Calendar, newsletters and proposal on curbing environmental and security challenges in Nigeria take the front stage of the visit

The national coordinator of CEPEJ, Comrade Sherif Mulade also disclosed to newsmen that the advocacy for peaceful coexistence and sustained peace and security in the country will restore hope and sense of belonging to Nigerians as the country security needs proactive and effective intelligent approach.

Breaking: ASUU suspends 2-week warning strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has suspended its two-week warning strike it declared last week across all public universities in the country. The union announced the suspension on Wednesday at a press conference held at its headquarters in Abuja. President of ASUU, Chris Piwuna, who read a prepared speech before newsmen, explained that the development followed intervention by the Senate and some other well-meaning Nigerians. The incident happened on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
