Ugborodo Governing Council Trust Has Not Been Constituted - Tenumah, Onuwaje
The uncertainty enveloping the recent inauguration of the Barr. Austin Oboroegbeyi – led governing trust council has assumed a dangerous dimension as the inaugurated vice- chairman, Mr. Austin Ajurenmisan, Tunu Onuwaje and Roland Atete along with some others has insisted that no election to the various executive positions was ever held at Ode-Ugborodo on Saturday August 3rd, 2019.
In a statement signed by nine (9) concerned stakeholders including the appointed Welfare Officer, Mr. Godwin Asakpi Edah, Femi Uwawah, Roland Atete and Monday Tenumah, they stated categorically that “there was no election of officers on the 3rd August 2019 or at any other time or any place wheresoever”.
The statement made available to newsmen in Warri said they were surprised to see their names and that of others in the Vanguard Publication of Wednesday, August 7th 2019 at page 37 as purportedly elected officers of the governing trust council and therefore urged the general public and companies operating in the Ugborodo land to discountenance the said publication in its entirety as the “Ugborodo Community Trust has not been constituted”.
According to the statement also signed by Donald Tienitie and Bawo Etuwewe, “Mr. Isaac Botosan whose name appeared in the publication as legal adviser is not a lawyer, never trained as one and never held himself out as such”, insisting that the publication is spurious, fraudulent and illegal.
