Defection to APC: I’ll attract more devt to Bomadi/Patani — Rep Mutu

Member representing Bomadi-Patani Federal Constituency, Nicholas Mutu, has said his new party, All Progressives Congress (APC), provides him added advantage to attract more development to his people whom he tasked to jettison pull-him-down tendency. 

Mutu said the Gbaregolo-Esanma Bridge project with other Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, projects earlier abandoned will get funding attention of the Federal Government early 2026. 

Mutu spoke to members of the Bulou Kosin-led Ijaw Journalists Association Worldwide (IJAW) who paid him a courtesy visit in Warri to commend his influence of projects across the Ijaw nation just as they tasked him to do more. 

Mutu, caucus Chairman of Southern Nigerian Lawmakers in the House of  Representatives said “as opposition member for 10 years before 2025, it was challenging to continue ensuring execution of projects he influenced. Now that I am in APC as my state and Governor,  Sheriff Oborovweri, and above all, President Bola Tinubu, I now have added advantage to attract more development to my constituency.” 

Earlier in his address, President of Ijaw Journalists Association Worldwide (IJAW), Mr Bulou Kosin marveled at Mutu’s consistency in winning heart of the electorate since 1999 to date and appealed “for synergy with other federal lawmakers to attract more projects to our people.”.

Woman Burned to Death, Accused of Kidnapping 7yrs Old Boy in Delta

By Tessy ogbemi An angry mob set ablaze a woman accused in a failed child kidnapping attempt in Agbarho community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.  The incident happened on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.  An eyewitness disclosed at the scene of the incident at Ekwvere Road claimed that the woman hid the seven year old boy she allegedly abducted in a sack, adding that she was even carrying a Bible on one hand.  Community sources said some residents in the area accosted the lady when they observed the way she was dragging the sack, to know what she had in it.  "She was unstable when they asked her to disclose what she was carrying in the sack. When the bag was forced open, they found a seven year old child in it.
