SDP Candidate to Revive Asaba Textile Mill, Dein Of Agbor Commends Gbagi on Ideas to Rebuild Delta 



The Dein of Agbor Kingdom, His Majesty, Dr Benjamin Ikenchuku, yesterday urged the Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party SDP to look inward and come up with Solutions to initiate problems in Delta State.

Dein Keagborekuzi 1, expressed confidence that Gbagi has great ideas to rebuild Delta State if given the chance to serve. "You have great ideas, he said.

The first-class traditional monarch remarked on Wednesday, February 15th 2023, when the former Minister of State for Education and members of his campaign train visited the king in his palace at Agbor, Delta State.

Responding to a brief speech by Olorogun Gbagi on the reasons for the visit, the Agbor monarch described the SDP governorship candidate as a man with Solutions and great ideas.

He said; "Nigeria is on the brink, there is anger and frustrations everywhere, come up with a solution, tell us what you will do and how you will do it. What we want is the best for the State and the nation, and I am sure and know that you will do an amazing job as governor of Delta State if elected.”

Earlier, Gbagi said', "The solution to problems in the state is, Character
Honesty and Leadership, Unless we remove our youths from the streets we will have problems.

"I will create industries, bring back moribund industries, revive the Asaba textile mill and boost the revenue of the State".

"I will bring all Delta Youths into the system; and pay them 30, 000 per month, I believe that we were far ahead of Lagos and we need to create an enabling environment, Industry, industry and industry.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
