Uproar as Wife of Delta Attorney General, Mrs. Mrakpor Beats 68-year-Old Woman to Coma 

There is Uproar as the Wife of the Delta State Attorney General, Mrs. Joan Onyemaechi Mrakpor, allegedly Beats a 68-year-Old Woman to 
To coma in Ubulu-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was gathered that the former House of Representatives member, allegedly slapped the 68-year-old woman, Mrs. Adaeke Odiaka, who is old enough to be her mother.



It was learnt that the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, close ally is purportedly known for such character, an unhealthy situation that may work against her husband, Barr. Peter Mrakpor, in Delta Central Senatorial District, if he joins the governorship race come 2023.

The story reported  that Trouble started on Sunday 27th December 2020, when Mrs. Mrakpor, in company of her younger brother, Jude Ugbah Chukwunwike, the Chairmanship flag bearer of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 6th 2021 local government elections and her aides stormed the residence of the woman in search of Nnamdi Odiaka, her grandson.

It was gathered that when she and her entourage, stormed the residence in search of Adeake’s grandson, Sunday Odiake whose alleged posts on social media are not favourable to her, they purportedly bounced on his grandmother when they could not find him.

Miffed at the absence of the grandson, Mrs. Mrakpor, allegedly gave his grandmother several slaps before she lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

Meanwhile, youths of Ubulu-Uku, have taken to the street with placards bearing different inscriptions in reaction to the alleged slap.

Some of the placards reads: “End Mrakpor’s brutality”, “RIP Amaechi Ugbah & Jude Ugbah”, “this is not the first time Amaechi slap U/W”, “Another Udo massacre at Obuedo by Jude and Amaechi Ugbah”, among others.


It was learnt that the youths have barricaded the road to register their grievances against the alleged injustice by the Okowa appointee.

At press time, call put across to the Police Public Relations officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, was not responded to.
