Retraction/Apology to Gbaramatu Kingdom Over Publication:

RE---No oil Facility will Shut Down in Niger Delta, Gbarmatu Kingdom, Ijaws not Part of Such Agitations...

On our website publication of Tuesday, July 7th 2020, we published a story  titled; No oil Facility will Shut Down in Niger Delta, Gbarmatu Kingdom, Ijaws not Part of Such Agitations...

We have discovered that the story lacks factual substance, balancing and did not reflect the true position of  Gbaramatu people and the Kingdom, Warri South-West LGA,

We also deem it fit to state that Ijaws in Niger Delta are in support of the Just course, struggles and agitations of Gbaramatu people to  emancipate the region from Economic, Environmental, developmental neglect and degradation.

More detailed findings emerged indicating that the agitations and demands of the Gbaramatu people was hinged on general interest and inclusive  development of the region for feeding the nation.

It was also gathered that oil companies operating in the region has not lived up to responsibilities of ensuing basic provisions, electricity, water, Jobs and fair inclussion to their host communities.

We hereby retract the publication in its entirety We also tender our profound apology to the kingdom and to all it may concern.

We appreciate the diplomacy of Chief Godspower Gbenekama, Kestin Pondi, Moses Bebenimbo, Sheriff Mulade
Christopher Wuruyai
and all whose sensitivity had been insulted by the publication.

We deeply regret any inconvenience or embarrassment the publication has occasioned them. We hold them and the Kingdom the highest esteem.
