Our father chief senator PA Kiagbodo Clark is plus one. Hurray! I define him as a super voice, most enviable political activist in Nigeria. 

Clark is a mentor and a teacher. A bold and a fearless leader. Papa! you have done your part in the Niger Delta struggle. You have done well by telling the Niger Delta story all over the world. You have made us proud. Ijaw nation and Niger Delta are indeed grateful. 

Your personal achievements are unbeatable. You were a former minister of information, senator in second republic, representing Bendel state, former commissioner of old Midwest state, a founding member of NPN, and PDP precisely. You paid personal sacrifices for the collective interest of Niger Delta region. 

We may not have attain this level of freedom if not for you and others efforts. At 93, you have not still given up, your voice remain golden and loud. You were humiliated severally due to Ijaw and Niger Delta interest. Ijaw greets you at your 93 birthday.

 Niger Deltans appreciate all your loudable efforts in the region. Your name alone is a defence. Your name is a threat to oppressors. You played a critical role in Niger Delta struggle. You remain a pillar and hero in Niger Delta struggle. We are happy that you are born into Ijaw nation. We are happy because you are like a tree with many branches covering the oppressed people of Niger  Delta. You don't compromise your position on critical issues that has to do with the Niger Delta region. 

We love you. Stay strong. It is our prayer that you live more fruitful years in good health. Happy birthday. Our father and leader!

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention.
