Senators back initiative to distribute 10bn copies of Christ Embassy’s Rhapsody of Realities

Some senators have backed the initiative to distribute 10 billion copies of ‘Rhapsody of Realities’ to stimulate attitudinal change for growth and national development.

The senators gave their commitment at the inauguration of the initiative: tagged “Reachout World Day with Rhapsody of Realities”, at the National Assembly Complex on Thursday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Rhapsody of Realities is a monthly devotional publication by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Church, aimed at driving positive change.

In his remarks, Sen. Omueya Dafinone (APC-Delta) described Rhapsody of Realities as a life guide that brings the daily perspective of God’s word to the readers.

According to him, the publication intends to bring readers around the world the opportunity to review their lives on a daily basis in order to live a better life.

Also speaking, Sen. Thomas Joel-Onowakpo (PDP-Delta) said that he knew of the transformative work that Christ Embassy Church was doing.

He said that the initiative’s target would require lots of money to meet, urging the implementers not to panic but to believe that “the money for the work of God will come.”

To the senator, the publication, just like the Bible, is a guide that should be read, as ‘it will take you all the way’.

He, therefore, urged everyone, especially young people who will have access to the publication, to read it.

Earlier in his opening remarks, Director of Christ Embassy Ministry Centre in Abuja, Pastor Obi Chiemeka, said that the publication had been translated into 8,132 languages across the world and also in braille for the blind.

Chiemeka said that the publication was currently undergoing translations in different dialects which, when added, would bring the total number of translations to 12,000 and that it would be distributed monthly.

He said that the publication also cut across different demography, as there are those for kids and early readers, teenagers and adults.

“That is why we are having this national launch day. We want people to know that on Dec. 2, we are distributing 10 billion copies across the world,” he said.

In her remarks, a Corps Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ms Comfort Esung, said that the publication should be read with faith.

Esung expressed FRSC’s willingness to partner with Christ Embassy Church in the distribution of the publication.

She said that the commission had several channels like corps members, Special Corps Marshal and the first responder, all of which could be used to effectively distribute the publications.

The Executive Director of CYPA-Africa, Dr Chris Iyam, said that since he was introduced to the publication in 2008, his life had changed.

He said that if lawmakers could begin their day by reading Rhapsody of Realities, they would not make mistakes in whatever law being passed in the country.

Iyam said that the national launch, held at the national assembly complex, with 360 members of the House of Representatives and 109 senators, was strategic.

According to him, millions of destinies in the country are in the hands of the members of the national assembly.

“I believe in members of the national assembly because I know you have the powers to change things and the Spirit of God will guide you perfectly in doing those things,” he said.
